Los Angeles, Sept 21, 2021 // For Immediate Release

Comexposium offered their fin-person Curve Los Angeles trade event on August 23-24th. Known in the industry as the premiere intimate apparel & lingerie event from the west coast, this boutique trade show returned to the Westdrift hotel in Manhattan Beach for its 2nd edition. The first Curve Los Angeles show premiered in Feb 2020 just weeks prior to the start of the pandemic.

The Curve LA show offered 50+ international brands presenting their Spring 2022 collections of lingerie, activewear, loungewear, & swimwear.   Participating exhibitors include:

Ambra * Arianne Lingerie * Aspen Dream * Aubade * Avery Rose * B’Tempt’d by Wacoal * Berlei * Bordelle * Cake Maternity * Calida * Chantal Thomass * Chantelle * Claudel Lingerie *  Cosabella * COTN collection * Culture Trees * Curvy Couture * Curvy Kate * Dita Von Teese * Elomi * Empreinte * Falke * Fantasie * Fleur’T * Freya * Goddess * Gossard * Journelle * Leonisa * Linda Hartman Intimates * Louisa Bracq * Lusome * Maison Lejaby * memème * Mey * MilaKrasna * Montelle * Natori * Neva Nude * Passionata * Playful Promises * Pretty Polly * Proof * Rya Collection * Sainted Sisters * Samantha Chang * Scantilly by Curvy Kate * Simone Perele * Skarlett Blue * Soak Wash * Sugar Candy * Timpa * Undress Code * Verdiani * Wacoal

Buyers were enthusiastic to meet again, see products, and network with one another. “The intimate’s business is about fit and fabrication so the necessity to view styles on a model and/or in person is imperative. In 2021 most brands stayed with the tried & true as retailers were purchasing very conservatively predominantly by Zoom. The Spring 2022 collections showed a renewed optimism as designers took lots of risks by experimenting with new shapes & cuts. There was also an explosion of color with yellow, pink, and every shade of green on the Curve show floor.  The retailers’ response was extremely positive & the excitement on the show floor was palpable.  Many buyers came with larger open to buys & wrote orders onsite, which is a trend brands hope will continue throughout 2022!” said Kirsten Griffin, Visitor Promotions Director.

The highlight of the Curve LA show was a Welcome back party on Monday Aug 23rd. Drinks & light appetizers were served as buyers & brands mingled & re-connected at the terrace of the Westdrift hotel in Manhattan Beach. Opportunities to unwind were also offered at the Curve LA show with a tarot card reader & complimentary morning yoga.

The 3rd edition of Curve Los Angeles is planned for March 6th-7th, 2022 returning to the Westdrift Hotel in Manhattan Beach.

Paris, Sept 21, 2021 // For Immediate Release

On Sept 3rd – 6th, 2021 the Porte de Versailles in Paris welcomed back Who’s Next, marking the first physical meeting of the fashion industry show after 1 ½ years. This edition of Who’s Next offered a global mix of RTW, lingerie, swimwear, & accessories with Impact, Traffic merged together with Bijorhca, Exposed & Riviera.  A variety of events, workshops & conferences were offered over a 4 day period on fashion, accessories & jewelry. Despite the uncertainty related to Covid-19 & travel restrictions, 710 brands exhibited including 250 new ones, offering a global vision of the current fashion ecosystem. For a long weekend the entire industry came together in a festival-like atmosphere of celebration & renewed optimism. 74% of the participants came from France with the balance of 26% International attendees predominantly from Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany & Switzerland.

Exposed and Riviera, two of the leading Parisian events dedicated to the Lingerie & Swimwear sector, offered buyers the opportunity to preview the Summer 2022 collections of multiple brands such as Esquisse or Maison Lejaby. “This is a great first edition” says Matthieu Pinet, head of Exposed. After eighteen months of inactivity, it was essential to get the machine going. Overall, we are dealing with less but truly qualitative visitor numbers. Influential French buyers were there from the first day, including Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, and Bon Marché. «For Riviera, the Resort & Beachwear section, these four days allowed the brands to meet French buyers and interesting clients. The integration of the Riviera brands into Who’s Next has created great momentum. It was promising to open up new horizons and meet new buyers,» says Taya de Reynies, Events Director of Riviera.

In Hall 5.1 at the Exhibition Center INTERFILIERE PARIS offered knits, wovens, prints, finishing, laces, embroideries, buttons, trims, fibers, yarns, hooks, cups, ribbons, textile designers and design/trend consultancies, and manufacturing. INTERFILIERE PARIS continued its mission of sustainable innovation by highlighting its considerable eco-friendly array of products and brands, a trend which buyers are continuing to embrace. The Indonesian project, supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, caught the attention of many visitors looking for meaning and fresh perspectives. At the heart of this project was the creation of a circular, customized collection of one-of-a-kind prototypes that reimagined methods of production and added value to raw materials, thus creating pieces with a truly unique design.

Once again ExposedINTERFILIERE PARIS will return to SALON INTERNATIONAL DE LA LINGERIE on January 22-24th. The dates for Riviera are TBD for 2022.
